Happy Hounds + Happy Humans

I believe training should be an enjoyable journey, not just a destination.

Together we will dive deep into understanding the root causes of any intriguing or challenging behaviors your dog may exhibit.

With each session I strive to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where both dogs and their human can thrive.

By fostering positive experiences and effective communication, I empower you to build a lasting bond while effectively addressing behavioral challenges and achieving your training objectives.

Together we celebrate progress, and by working together we aim to forage a happy companion for life.

Hello, I’m Sam.

I'll be right back with a photographer to help capture Fred and Mack's attention and get them to look at the camera……

Nearly five years ago, I discovered the stunning and breathtaking beauty of the Olympic Peninsula, and I wholeheartedly decided to embrace and call Sequim my home. This choice, while immensely rewarding, came with the sacrifice of leaving behind a fulfilling and exciting career as a cancer research associate in Kirkland, WA, where I thrived on exploring the intricate complexities of chemistry and generating my own data through meticulous and dedicated research. However, I no longer have to endure the lengthy and often frustrating commutes on the notoriously congested 405 highway!

Driven by a deep passion for dogs, I made the life-changing decision to work at two local dog rescues in Sequim and Port Angeles. Through this experience, it became abundantly clear that I had a genuine calling to help these animals. At the rescues, I gained invaluable knowledge about canine behavior, enrichment techniques, and the unique individuality of each dog I encountered.

Establishing my own dog training practice has proven to be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling on so many levels. Each dog I encounter is unique in their own right, and my background in research science provides me with a profound and nuanced understanding of dog behavior. It truly fascinates me and strive to understand the unique needs of each dog to help them live a fulfilling life. I genuinely look forward to the wonderful opportunity of meeting you and your canine companions!
